The Feijoa is an evergreen tree with a shrubby habit; self-fertile variety requires the planting of at least 4 plants. It resists well to cold and drought, however the natural habitat is that of the olive tree.
The leaves have a green color tending to blue on the upper side and silver gray on the lower side; length about 5 cm.
The flowers are very showy, they are white on the outside and purple on the inside.
Flowering: May - June
The fruit, green in color, has an oval shape and contains a very sugary grainy white pulp.
Ripening: October - November
