The Germany medlar is a small tree with a winding trunk and deciduous leaves.
The rusty brown medlars appear in autumn and contain 5 seeds; they should be left for a couple of months on straw or on the plant, thanks to the frost, by December they will be ready and the pulp will become tender and black, sweet and sour on the palate.
